We went away for 3 nights and 4 days WITHOUT kids! If you have never gone to Mansanetta, you should. It is south of Cannon Beach. It's beautiful. Our friends, Geoff and Jen have a family beach house that we go to every year. This was our first time going without kids. I do have to admit, it was kind of hard. I felt guilty for leaving them and we missed them tons. But thanks to Sandy (Peter's mom) for watching them, we enjoyed a beautiful, relaxing weekend. It ended w/ us coming home and Madi saying, "surprise momma!" She pulls me into the kitchen, where I found a present w/ a card, all which she picked out. They got me a candle and a plush rose. She was way excited to celebrate my birthday. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday "get away!" Oh and another nice birthday surprise was; Peter started reading Twilight. And he loves it!

Yeah you're so good about posting! We had such a good time, and I emailed about us all going back in Oct. Haven't heard back from her yet though! Those pics of you and Peter turned out great. I was also going to email you and ask how Peter was liking Twilight. I'm glad he's enjoying it.
