Madi and I went with my dad and mom to Idaho for Labor Day weekend. We celebrated my Grandpa Hawkins' 90th birthday! It was such a neat thing to experience to see him still have to much energy for life. What a great example. It was a fast weekend, but we accomplished a lot. Madi was the only grandchild there for the most part. Luckily Mason was there for Grandpa's birthday. But I do have to admit, she loved being the only great grandchild, she was so spoiled. Grandpa took her on rides on his remote chair all over the assisted living home, he told everyone that she was his girlfriend. They played bingo, and had drinks (pop) together. She loved it! And then we stayed at Uncle Bobby's house, they live on an acre, and so she loved running around being curious about everything! Her favorite thing to do was to put her pink blanket around Emmie, their dog, and call her princess Emmie as she walked around with it on her back. It was so good to see everyone. Thanks mom and dad for letting us bum a ride with you.
