Grateful

I haven't posted anything for awhile or had motivation to. This is the first time I've been on here for a few weeks. So, I found some extra time and thought I would write how grateful I am for trials. I don't think I have ever looked at having trials is a good thing. I always knew that there were reasons why we needed to go through them, but never appreciated the fact that it is a good thing. A blessing. For those who haven't heard, Peter was laid off from his job. It was a shock and we weren't prepared. But I am so grateful that we have been given this trial in our lives, for the fact that we have grown so much. Spirtually, emotianally, growing closer to eachother, relying on faith and growing closer to Heavenly Father. We have such great family and friends and I wanted to post a thank you to all who have listened to us and have lifted us up. I have an AMAZING husband, who has been so positive, he has been my rock through this whole experience. When I was losing faith, he was right there to remind me that I needed to rethink things and get back to where I needed to be. I don't know what is to come out of all this, but I have faith that whatever happens, is suppose to. Heavenly Father knows our needs and knows what trials we need to go through to make us stronger. This trial is here to protect us from, maybe, something worse that could've happened. I really do believe that.
I hope to post more, but if you are wondering where we've been, we are here, just a little preoccupied. Thank you for all your love and support!!

You're right, Heavenly Father knows what's best and he loves you and will provide for you. Something will come along and it will all work out! Sorry you are having this struggle and I wish you the best. Love, Mandy

Blackberry bushes! I love that analogy from the Ensign. The hardest part about trials for me is the waiting and patience thing. You two are too awesome! Hang in there and know that we are here for you if you need anything!

I'm sorry to hear about Peter's job, but glad to hear that you are doing so well through it all. I agree that trials are so tough but they really do help you to become who you ultimately desire. Keep your chins up and we will certainly keep you in our prayers. We love you. =)

Hang in there! It's tough times. We know about the unemployment situation, going on 3 months here, but the extra time with the family is so awesome!

Sorry to hear about your trial. Just remember that when Heavenly Father closes a door, He opens a window. Look for the open window, and it will be better then the view from the door!
In the meantime, take advantage of the extra time together! My kids LOVED it when my hubby was laid off...many years ago. It meant more cuddle time with daddy, and I loved it because many jobs on the "honey do" list got done.
And remember to SMILE!
